Why did you replace slave?

It may take a bit of pumping at the pedal
Pump the pedal with the pipe connected to slave, then hold down.Release 'horse shoe' clip and move pipe back slightly to release air then refit. You may have to repeat this over a few times but if you have done it this exact way then maybe there is another problem like you say

right girls and boys

so bloody easy to get the box out. The hardest bit was the two bottom ball joint bolts which sheared. now we all slag fiat but this was an absoulute dream a think I was 45min and the box was on the deck.

Theres always a but tho. Clutch is wrecked thrust bearing has collapsed and wrecked the clutch fork. i presume these are off the shelf dealer spares. Also I take it the brass bush at the top needs abused to get it out. Some help here would be great guys.

Yep, as with the above post DONT use additives. The only thing they are good at is destroying the quality of the sump oil.

The problem is that the public have seen a move over to a more "retail"-based shopping culture. That is you always buy cheap new over quality s/h and if there's a problem/defect with the product it's up to the seller to sort it rather than the buyer to have spotted it before purchase. While there are "dodgy dealers" about I'd not say they were anything more than a minority, but these are the stories that make the news, not the thousands of sales made every day with no issues.
