2001 iveco daily intermittent squeaking not when braking
08.02.10 at 19:42:49

i just put a post on about my back brake sticking which got veery hot which seemed to be the caliper handbrake arm sticking. i managed to sort that with lots of wiggling, wire brushing and wd40, however i am still getting an occasional sqeaking noise when driving, and it isnt when i am braking. it seems to happen most when turning a corner but also when driving in a straight line. does that mean brakes are still sticking a bit? they are not getting at all hot now.. Sad

Could be worth stripping all the brakes down and cleaning up the calipers. Check the sliders as these are prone to seizing up. They are really easy to do they are only a 6mm Allen key.  Put a bit of coopa slip on the backs of the pads and the pad quides.

you have of course replaced the pads and bled the system , and no calipers are servicable by normal people

They are normally just the brembo calipers they are virtually identical to the sprinter calipers. They are easy enough to do.

have you stripped the brakes and made certain the pads are free in the carrier?
as said above they could all want cleaning and copper slipping.
