fiesta 03 1.4 O2 sensor

fault code is catalyst system effiency below threshold bank 1, when started from cold it wont idle just cut out however if revved for a few seconds its fine there after. im 99.9% sure its the pre cat O2 sensor as it doesnt do much switching when cold then moves once warm. long term fuelling was roughly 11% lean.

however would it cause it to run rough and cut out straight away from cold?

Subject/Concern:  Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated in conjunction with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0030, P0031, P0032, P0053, P0130 - P0134
Model:

Fiesta 2002.25 (11/2001–09/2008) Build Date: 30.11.2001-07.12.2006
Build Code: 1D-6G
Assembly Plant: Cologne
Assembly Plant: Valencia

Should a customer express concern that the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is illuminated, the probable cause is over-heating conditions on the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensor causing the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to be stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

• P0030: Upstream oxygen sensor heater - control circuit

• P0031: Upstream oxygen sensor heater - short to ground

• P0032: Upstream oxygen sensor heater - short to battery voltage

• P0053: Upstream oxygen sensor heater - resistance

• P0130: Upstream oxygen sensor signal - open to circuit

• P0131: Upstream oxygen sensor signal - short to ground or air leak

• P0132: Upstream oxygen sensor signal - short to battery voltage

• P0133: Upstream oxygen sensor functional

• P0134: HEGO amplitude plausibility

To rectify this concern, a new HO2S in conjunction with a revised calibration for the PCM must be installed.• CAUTIONS:

The PCM MUST be reprogrammed with a revised calibration when the new type HO2S is installed. Use IDS 46 DVD or a later version.

If for any reason a new calibration is loaded then a new type HO2S MUST be installed. Ignoring this instruction will cause the HO2S to fail or can cause driveability issues.

Parts Required
Description Finis Code Quantity
Heated oxygen (HO2S) sensor 1 471 423 1
A revised type HO2S in conjunction with an updated calibration was introduced into production in the different assembly plants by 22.12.2006 (build code 6G).

non of them codes are showing bud, just cat effiency below threshold bank 1, i think its p0240,

With it saying bank 1 this mean its before cat hence why i think O2 sensor no 1?

there's a few more concerns with regard your o2/catalyst concern. but fall out of your build date? give me your vin to confirm.

whats your dtc? p0421

your stalling/cut out issue maybe separate or a calibration update may cure.

we have had concerns/issues with the tp sensors and or tb
and the loom harness.

first up i would check you have good battery  before further investigation.

and of course you may need to have pcm updated as well

exhaust fumes dont smell bad at all. as i said usually when watching o2 sensors on my diag gear it says either lean or rich next to the voltage on the o2 sensor this doesnt.
dtc is defo p0240 it runs fine once you rev it to 2k for a few seconds. like warming the sensor up, maybe the heater circuits gone on the sensor?

ho2s 1 = pre cat
ho2s 2= post cat
bank 1 = 4/6 cyl inline engine
bank 2 = 2nd bank of v engine

p0240 is turbo boost pressure signal  Cheesy

sorry its p0420
when started just it said the o2 sensor was 0.410v then dropped to 0.205 after a few seconds then upto 0.835 rapidly twitching, assuming its on warmup which it was.

when revved upto 2.5k the short term fuelling was 20% rich.
