I have made one post so far and with a few internet checks I'm not sure if the Lister XJS I have is a genuine Lister or just a look alike. There is a Lister name plate in the glove box, is this where they all are and it's not a V engine, definitely a 3.6 - 4.0l
How would I check if it's the real thing or not?

Thanks

hi everyone can anyone help i have a very early pre he xjs 1975 chassis number 19 my query is the rubber bumper cover on thr rear bumper.
1. i have a 1978 parts catalogue in this it says first type bumper which i assume is mine is bd46715 which appears to have no side supports ie brackets or threaded discs bd46796/bd48761 which slide into aau3050/51which attach to each qtr wing to support the rubber bumper ends but the second type does have these so is the rubber bumper shorter on the first type bumper not needing support this seems the case according to pics in parts book at bottom of page highlighted in black does anyone have pics or a1975 parts book to check numbers or pics for me as i see no point in fitting brackets to rear qtr wing if they were never there in the firt place and the bumper req no support as i want to keep car as nera to original spec as poss
thanks
keri
