Supertrev is back in Jaguar ownership.

Hi to all members,
Some of you may remember me from a few years ago when I owned an immaculate X300 Sovereign.
Well, I'm pleased to inform you that yesterday I drove down to Arun Jaguar Ltd, West Sussex and purchased a very nice LPG converted S Type Jaguar 3.0ltr.
I collect the car next Saturday.

Welcome back Trev, It will be good to have your input once again. LPG is a great idea on a car like that. It would be good to hear how it pans out in terms of economy. Cheers, apax.

Has any manufacturer actually ever offered a brand new car that has LPG already?

..............and I bet they all went to local councils. Seems to be the thing with some of them, and no auxilliary petrol tank either. Shame it hasn't led to more LPG stations and more acceptance. I've been very pleased with my conversion over the last nine years. Cheers, apax.

Just back from a trip to France, and I noticed that over there just about every petrol station offers LPG.

A sign of the times perhaps?

I had a conversion in 1979, the Government spiel at the time was every motorway services would have a gas pump within a year, total b*ll*cks, no gov wants to halve it's revenue.

WWWoowweee, thanks for all the replies Guys.

Roly, yes mate, I sold my Jag to buy a Honda HRV then i sold that for a 52 reg 1.8 Turismo Alfa Romeo 156, then a Merc E2OO, then a Ford Mondeo 1.8 and now I collect my lovely S type in two days time.

SADLY, My employer went bust in October 2008 and just 5 days later I crashed my Triumph Daytona 675 after 18 months from new and ended up in hospital for 12 days with a broken hip joint and foot and a written off bike. I have a plate in my leg top now.

I spent 10 months unemployed due to the recession with no job opportunities and my disability didn't help much in finding work anyway.

Then (you won't believe this) in August 2009 I was offered a job with the Aramark Catering Company at the Triumph Motorcycle factory at Hinckley, Leics about 8 miles from my home and also I quickly bought another Triumph (Speed Triple 955i) Streetfighter type bike.

Im so happy working there and being able to walk around the factory and watch the bikes being built on the production line and rolled off at the end.

Nice bit of history in that story Trev. You're obviously not one for moaning, and it looks like you've come out tops. Great. Not a bike man myself (my son is - big time) but that machine looks mean! Cheers, apax.
