Wheel thingies?
02.02.2010 at 13:08:33

My 94 3.2 sport has thin steel discs with about a 5mm lip that goe between the wheel and the hub. They protect the disks / brakes from anything that may go into the holes in the 5 spoke alloys.
Last night I took the wheels of my 94 Sov which has stood all winter and the discs and brakes have suffered quite a bit of corrosion due to probably to blown in rain. Does anyone know what the discs on my 94 3.2 are, if they are standard or how much £ they are. I can't see any on JHT parts website.
Cheers

Are you referring to the brake dust shields?

If you have 16 inch wheels, the part number is MNA1803AA - you can see them listed on the JDHT Classic Parts site for '93 / '94 models under the 'Unillustrated parts' heading on the front hub parts page. They are still available.

There was an earlier one - CBC9037 - which may have been for 15 inch wheels but I'm not certain of that.

Thnks for that, my alloys are 16 inch. I note on the motormounth thread in post #6 you suggest he visits http://www.theimpclub.co.uk/, judging by the nonsense in his ramblings it looks as if he has been visiting http://www.theminpub.co.uk too often and had a few to many Grin
