Gender:	Spotted on eblag XJS £50,000 !!! 04.02.2010 at 08:27:09 Hi All, Just spotted this XJS on eblag 110487776265 never registered 73 miles on clock for £50,000 seems a bit much £49,999p and i might have bid myself it does look nice makes wonder why someone went to the trouble of fitting an RAC badge on it thought

Sorry but not my "cup of tea". For the money I could have a fleet of very nice XJ-Ss and XJSs convertible and Coupe, perhaps 3.6, 4.0, 5.3 and 6.0. and why not throw in one of the 7.0 Lister thingys, think I saw one going the other day for around £30K.

Quite happy to accept my rather dated attitude to all this, but I like to drive my cars. The moment you started do that with this one it's value (perceived) would plummet.

Seems to me like a good (reasonable) price for a coupe like that. Convertibles tend to fetch more but I've seen low mileage versions of those advertised at £15,000 plus - and not selling! The main issue with the XJ-S is that they are still relatively plentiful (and therefore possibly less desirable), and even a stunning example has to compete with very good cars selling at very low prices. £50,000 is just a non-starter, unless they find a buyer with more money than they know what to do with (I wish!).
