You have got to be referring to the Bluebell Railway. Been there at least a couple of times but not recently.
Think you should go for it Roly and do the run again

It's the Kent and East Sussex at Tenterden
http://kesr.org.uk/
I'm undecided but all things being equal will probably go for it this year.

I can't say I have ever had one yet as the queues were so large and I couldn't be bothered to queue.Breakfast in the hotel was far better.

This event has ceased to be anything approaching good value. OK for those not on constrained incomes though as it still has a unique appeal and is an absolutely amazing turnout of Jaguars in motion, as opposed to the normal static displays. I hope to marshall this year, so my car will still get a day out.
Meanwhile I found a charity event, The Forester Run, in 2009 (advertised at the L to B), and did it, the only Jaguar! This year is the second, organised by the local Austin Healey and TR2 Registers it takes in 80 miles of Sussex countryside in and around the Ashdown Forest.
For £60 (car and one passenger) you get a bacon or sausage roll and coffee, cake and coffee at the halfway point, finish with a
hogroast
with trimmings, AND the bulk of the entry money goes to a local hospice. That's what I call good value. Cheers, apax.

I’ve had an envelope through the post this morning inviting me. Also included details of other tours etc.

My invitation paperwork came by post this morning also, £77 does seem a lot so not sure yet if I will participate this year, but it is a good day out particularly if the weather is ok.
Archie told me about a Jag run on St Georges Day April 23rd New Romney, plan to do that one.
Cheers, Roy

Not really a 'run' Roy (except to get there!). Just a universal meet up of Classics at a pub! All the best people will be there. Cheers, apax.

We have an interest down that neck of the woods and usually end up at that quite famous pub on the beech at Dungeness, great fish and chips. Also, the RHDR is good fun but make sure you get a carriage with sides and a roof if it’s anything other than nice weather (or stay in the pub).

That sounds good, i'm in Kent so not too far, just need to stop the V12 overheating
I have fitted a replacement expansion tank just not brave enough to go far at the mo.

Update on the St Georges Day Classic meeting from the JDC Kent Area website: Its on Sunday April 17th at The Neptune Inn Dymchurch, just turn up lunchtime.
Seems to be weekend before St Georges Day coinciding with their monthly classic car meeting.
Cheers, Roy
