Can't help wondering if there is any confusion here Roy? The 17th April is national 'Drive It Day' and most clubs are organising a run for that, whereas the St George's Day meeting is simply an informal meet of all classics organised privately by the pub landlord. That is apparently always on or near St George's Day (the following weekend). Cheers, apax.

I’m inclining towards the Neptune also. I’ve driven past on a number of occasions but so far never stopped. I'm assuming from all the positive ramblings that it is an ok place to meet up and have lunch?

Hi Nick, Haven't got the first clue what it's like! My interest is that I met the Guv'nor at a JEC meet at Detling some long while ago. He gave me a card (long since lost) and impressed me with his enthusiasm (wouldn't buy a used car though!) and I determined to visit his pub sometime. That time is now.
Would be great if you could make it. Cheers, apax.

I also have not been to the Neptune Inn before but the JDC Kent Area are returning again this year so it must be OK. I understand they serve great fish & chips but anyway seems a good place to meet on Drive it Day. Cheers, Roy

Well, we went into Brighton this afternoon to have a look at the Jags parked up there on the seafront in the lovely sun. Did anyone else on here go along?
Regards, Julian

Yep - I was there Wink. Took the convertible this year - perfect weather for it. Loads of nice Jags and people as per usual. Particularly one chap who lost a leg in an argument with a Formula 1 car and drives a modified XKR.  Cool

Is there any news on the 2012 London to Brighton run yet?

We attended the 2011 run and loved it.

Got the info' in the post this morning, as most other people I guess. Start at Westerham is ideal for me being literally down the road and the stop off is at Borde Hill gardens, which I have visited several times with the Jag's but interestingly this time the private house which dates from 1598, will open for the entrants in the morning. Always wondered what it was like inside. Missed the event last year so will hopefully be there this year.
Cheers, Roy Cool

It looks to be an excellent event again this year. Let's hope the weather is as kind as it was last year.
