St. Georges Day Classic
10.04.2011 at 18:52:36

Hi everyone, as previously mentioned under the L to B thread there is a St. Georges Day Classic Car meet at the Neptune Inn, Dymchurch, on Sunday 17th April, (Jaguar Drive it Day) being mainly a lunchtime meet. Cannot vouch for the pub which is on the Kent coast Romney Marsh area but the JDC Kent Area seem to meet there each year for this event, and its on their programme for this year. Don't have to be a JDC member to attend, I am going and hopefully a few others who have expressed interest will be there also.

Hi Roy, I think the 17th is a National 'Drive It' day meet, rather than St George's Day which is a week later. My information (although I haven't double checked it) is that there will be another allcomers meet on the 24th at the Neptune Pub, Hythe Road, Dymchurch, TN29 0TS.
See you on the 17th. Cheers, apax.

Nice to meet up with Archie and Roy and the guys from the JDC at the Neptune Inn in Dymchurch. Although not JDC myself (JEC) the guys made my wife and I both feel very welcome.

A good assortment of Jaguars on display with some nice classics of other marques courtesy of the Neptune Car Club.

The sun shone and in all a good drive out. Thinking of doing the Eastbourne run later on in May.

Nick

That's right Roly, Alan and Reg's cars, plus Richard Hills turned up PM with his 420G. Great day as usual! Oh yes, and that's my car, bottom left behind the telegraph pole. Cheers Nick Grin. Cheers, apax

I’ve sent off my cheque and paperwork for the JEC  South Downs Run on Sunday 29th May. Seems like a good event and one not to miss. Anyone else?

Hi to all ,
sorry I missed these postings until now , it was a nice day out for all the cars ,the sun kept shining through out the day .

The JDC Area 4 are friendly enough they must be they even talk to me  Grin

Good to meet up with others from the forum , 3 "starships" in all turned up , and a rumor of one which might land if we were lucky , we stared blindingly into the sun all day but nothing appeared . All was not lost we at least came away with a good sun tan and burnt retinas .

Have a couple of photos of the 3 "starships" which I will post soon .

If you have no luck for a ticket for Magnificent Motors from JEC I might be able to help from JDC .
