x300 forum suggestion

Hi all
I'm a 'Newbie'. I have a Jaguar XJ6 (X300) 4.0L Sport manual 1996.
I'd like to ask members what they would think of a dedicated forum on X300's? Is there room for this forum on this site?
There seems to be a lot on Series 1,2 & 3 XJ6's, can we have a X300 forum please.
Thanks guys Smiley

We have had this request before and the boss turned us down. The V8 cars, xj40 and x300 were all lumped together in the beginning but we did get them split down to xj40 and x300 and the V8 cars got their own section.
I can ask again.

FWIW....

Such a change makes no difference to me personally. I see no great need for it but I certainly wouldn't object.

I'm wonder what the rationale would be for a negative reply from the higher ups? If it's a matter of giving something up in exchange ...well... the "JWM Comments" and "Pre-war and E-type" sections seem to get very little use.

Just my measely two cents worth  Smiley

Cheers
DD

I wouldn't vote for it personally, as the similarities between the 40 and the 300 models are well documented. There is therefore a great deal of shared info that can benefit owners of both.
I engineered the split of the 308s away to a separate Bulletin, as a good case was made for the huge differences in technology (e.g. engines and electronics) that made them very different to previous XJs.
However, if other owners feel strongly about a dedicated 300 Forum, let us know. Cheers, a.pax

I tend to read all sections, I don't think there is enough of any one model (x300) to warrant a separate section.
