Aftermarket phone kit install
06.06.2011 at 17:53:04
Hi all
Thinking I'd better abide with the law and fit a hands free blue tooth system to a 2001 XJ8. I've seen a Nokia system that looks to do the trick.
However, it need a constant power supply for both positive and negative. My initial thought is to tap it into the radio feeds.
1. Does anybody have a link to show what the various wires are into the radio so I can identify which one to tap into or...
2. Is there a more convenient source to tap into in the passenger footwell?
Many thanks

no need
lift out the armrest cubby box, and under there you will find the white plug interface for the in car phone, the lead connect directly to the stereo , and a few splices will have your nokia kit fully wired in , you may need to wire in the mic , and the remote for the nokia kit
its where i have mine fitted in my 99 xj8
