Sunroof won't slide

It tilts ok but wont slide it worked fine until recently
When I had Capris the metal manual roofs often stuck, I cured it with a tap from a plastic mallet
then smeared the runners with golden grease.
But I don't fancy trying the same with a glass electric roof !.

Silicon spray, simiar effect to WD40 but better and clear so not likely to stain your car.
Periodically spray some down the runners for the side windows when they wont wind down properly

Is this a factory fitted SUN roof... I don't know about these types if it is ..... don't jag supply a manual crank handle to open or shut it......maybe just needs a bit of movement in one direction to fire it off again... as in most car/jeep sun rooves etc/(well mine anyway)
On one of my motors I found I had to use it or loose it...even in the winter.
A tap to the motor region should do it..

I couldn't see a manual crank, it opens about 3" then stops, I tried spraying silicone grease on it but still no luck.
It was working until recently

Will have a manual crank - crank it fully open, spray all runners with either PTFE or silicon spray and crank closed and open a few times - spraying frequently. Should then work ok.
This worked with my Rover 8 series and Elite Estate.

The rear passenger door window has stopped working, the motor turns but it doesn't move
I'm trying to sell the car it sailed through the MOT on Friday

Sorry to be a damp squid but will the cost of fixing everything be recoverable though when you sell?
1999 S type 100K 4lit V8 auto, best trade in on Glasses currently £425, examples on ebay today £300 to £1000.
My neighbour recently sold his (same year T reg & spec as yours), mileage 75K, brand new engine just fitted - £750 (took him nearly 6 months to get that!)

No I'm not going to start stripping door and roof panels thats work for an auto electrician.
I would need at least £2000 to get back what I have paid out, it's doubtful I'll get that
The previous owner spent
£3017
in 2010 - 2011 alone !, and I
Still
don't have the log book for the Jeep so I'm waiting to transfer the personal reg
