They’ll never catch on.  Wink Seem to remember the previous version, day dip headlights, the sort that Volvo pioneered. We will need to be wearing our reflective vests at all times before long at this rate. What ever happened to the bloke with the red flag?

Happy Days

Hi Nick, I thought they are called Dim/Dip. I have that system on the Cab which gives a dimmed dip with ignition and sidelamps. The sidelights show alone with the ignition off. Is that what you mean? You're right in that it never took off and now we have these 'running lights' which are brighter than most fog lamps (which are illegal to use when there's no fog!).
Must say that I like my dim/dip system which is useful in a whole host of circumstances, but particularly at night in well lit streets where full dipped beam is rather superfluous.
My thought is that if you can't see a car in full daylight unless it is showing running lights, you definitely should be using public transport! Cheers, apax.

Sorry Archie – Yes of coursed “dim dip” silly me. What I really really hate  are those people who drive just on their Spot/Fog lamps. What’s all that about then. Certainly not cool me thinks!

Happy Days

Ah, but if you were driving a 206 with your baseball cap on the wrong way round and you had 3000 watts of base shaking your insides, then you would think it cool, its an age thing, a bit like the tos*ers in the 70's who jacked their Capri up with sprng hanger extensions, in my day we were trying to get as low as possible. Cheesy Cheesy

Here is said chariot, I found the pic last night looking through some old albums. It was the first car I resprayed, I also fitted the large tail lights from a later model Capri and the RS 3000 boot spoiler - don't remember the tow bar though!!.
I had sold the car to a mate when the pic was took - he is responsible for the bent rear bumper  Wink
Ahh memories  Smiley

I think that was what some drivers thought the tow-bar was for on some cars.  Grin

My 'friend' reversed into a pile of gravel so the tow bar just dug in  Wink

Back on topic... a better pic of the HID's, the 6000k give a bright white light, the 12000k I had on the X300 gave off a bright blue glow!.

I'm lost on this one, what are we looking at?
I still have furry dice, albeit skull and cross bones instead of dots, in the van, must remember to put in the Jag when I get home.
