2.7 diesel block heater
23.11.2011 at 21:24:46

I have tried in vain to find a block heater for the XF 2.7d (presumably it would also fit an S-type or XJ with the same engine). Does anybody know of a supplier?

Alternatively, have anybody tried a heater hose unit e.g. Kenlowe?

The Jaguar item supposed to work is part no C2C38057. It looks like any electric core plug heater except that it is not press fit but threaded. Anybody know where it goes?
Here is a pic:

OK, finally got my hands on a service manual. The heater goes into the threaded core plug hole in the middle of the LH side of the block.   Smiley

Well, rather late, but ....

The turbo is blocking the access so no solution. I think the WSM item is a cvarryover from a non-turbo version. (S-type ot LR?)
