Jaguar MK10 Wedding car

Hi All,

I have just joined this forum as im in need of some assistance. I have always loved the Mk10 and would like one as A wedding car for my wedding in August but I cant seem to find any local companies that use them as wedding cars (Worcestershire). Is this because there aren't many around anymore? Are there many owners in the Worcestershire area?.

None on here in that area that I know of and used for wedding cars . Try contacting the JDC or JEC they might be able to help . Keep looking and good luck for the wedding . Alan .

Thing is the owner of a mk10.. would need special insurance etc. I did a wedding once.. but i was doing it for a friend... I believe you dont need special insurance to the church.. but do if taking away from the church. Undecided

where in worcs are you. Cheesy

now a mk10 is a rare car... loads of the 420g version around... but a mk10.. now that is very very rare Cool

whats it worth? Cheesy

It is a giant leap.. but into the unkown.....

women are nice things to start with.....(i assume you are marrying a woman).. but they change after a while into... Lips Sealed

I have been married twice.,... first wife died second wife left for a younger fitter model.... but I still have my 1963(note keith not 1962) jaguar MK10.

Women get bored but jags go on for ever.... Grin

Hi again,

very strange on the insurance issue if thats the case - what difference does it make if its to or from the church?!! i'll blame it on the health & safety executive (just because i want to!)

Forgive my novice questions but how much difference is there between the MK 10 & the 420G?.

The wedding is Grimley just North of Worcester on the river and the reception is in Shelsley Beauchamp (again north of worcester) over looking the hillclimb (for those who know what im talking about). How many crates of beer would it take to persuade a Mk10 owner that the Teme valley is a lovely place to spend a Saturday in August?!!!!

they were still in the glove box when I last looked.

difference form a mk10 to a 420g..
420g alot younger has side chrome strips a different front grill ,side indicators ... maybe electric windows and slighlty different seats inside and a padded dashboard.

Thought this was semi on your patch but is the Mk 10 actually running currently? To be honest I thought your car was a 1960 one but given that reg suffix's came in 1/1/63 how anyone could call it a 63 model is beyond belief and stupidity Grin

Remember the photos of you doing the wedding, you looked incredibly dapper in your outfit Cool

The reg is a Coventry reg.But if people ask what WK stands for......."then I tell them!" Wink
