Noted the Launch Creader in this months magazine, cant seem to find that particular type? Have looked at Gendan products, What is best type to have for S-type 2005 year? Some priced as low as £37 appear to do a lot? I need it to read likes of faulty reverse sensor (again 3rd time). Many thankf for any advice. Roll Eyes

You may find that a cheap OBDII / EOBD code reader will read quite a few codes on your Jaguar.

Remember though that OBDII / EOBD is for emmissions control related faults and may not read something like a reverse sensor fault. That would need a more sophisticated device and / or Jaguar software.

I have an OB11 code reader/scanner, which is quite handy to point one in the right direction, but cannot reset service lights or put rear brakes into service mode...is there a PC based software that I can purchase at a reasonable cost... my laptop runs XP..

I bought this cool little unit a few months back and it provides all the info the home mechanic needs and more  Cool. The very helpfull seller will advise you if you are not sure about some of the features -

You should also get a copy of this excellent manual -

Avoid the software from E bay that you can read on your laptop via an OBD11adaptor. I bought a CD and it was riddled with Trojans and other viruses !! Angry Thankfully my Kaspery Pro software detected it.

.

Smiley Hi Everyone,
I bought my new code reader from Fleabay for just £18.99 plus £3.95 P&P just in case I ever need it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230644533100?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1...

These code readers only read engine management fault codes.
