s-type tyres
27.02.2012 at 22:39:47

Hi, I've just bought a 2003 s-type, so am very pleased  Cheesy

it needs 2 front tyres. Are the Pirelli P6000 still the prefered choice, or is there a better alternative?

Regards
Phil

The chain fitters will charge you around
£400 for one P6000
  Shocked
I have them on my S Type -17" and don't find anything special about them.

Check out http://www.blackcircles.com/order/tyres/sort] for tyres at sensible prices  Wink

About £100 tyre or thereabouts from when I last bought 4 x P6000 or whatever they are from Charlie Browns and it was not even on one of their Michelin or Pirelli type deals they gave me for 4 though I seem to recall it was fairly close to end of month so targets set by Kwik Fit who own them may have come into Branch Manager radar zone  Wink  Grin Shocked

I run my S-Type on Pirelli 4 x Pzero's which are asymmetrics. I believe Jaguar design the cars around Pirelli tyres but best advise is not to mix different makes or types so keep all 4 the same.
Incidentally my XK8 has Goodyear F1's, when they need changing I will go for Pzero's.

many thanks, I'll probably stick with P6000 in that case, as that is what is on the car at the moment. £132 per wheel (fitted) is the cheapest I have found so far.
