Repro engine mounts
16.03.2012 at 20:41:29

I recently had the manual gearbox mounts on my 3.6 renewed . This solved the 90 degree right turn rumbling noise from down under.
Trouble is , I am now getting unpleasant noises when turning sharp left,
my local Jag wizard thinks this is because the 21 year old worn metalastic engine mounts are now slightly out of kilter with the new gearbox mounts.
The genuine Jaguar metalastic engine mounts for the 3.6 are no longer available.
Iv'e tried all the usual suspects, but they all only sell reproduction units.
Local Jag wizard's not too keen on repro mounts.
Has anyone used repro engine mounts or know where I can find originals ?
