Wax on - Wax off
25.03.2012 at 17:26:15

Hi all

I gave the Jag some wax today to celebrate its 20th birthday...  Cool

It's far from perfect, but I'm still pretty impressed with the durabillity and build quality after 238.000 km and use in 8 danish winters (salt...)

Leo - Looks really nice. I've been out polishing my car today. Somehow they just seem to go a bit better when nicely polished don't they.

Happy days

If you stand a bit further back, you'll be able to get all of the car in the photo!

As its that time of year, lets hear what polish the members use...latley I have been using Auto Glym Super Epoxy, easy to apply, and comes off the same, good shine plenty of depth. What do you use ??

Also available in the UK

Brilliant shine, long lasting - does not leave white streaks on rubber/plastic surfaces. Easy to apply - a little goes a very long way!

Followed by regular washing using Autoglym car shampoo.

Pictures are just too large, sorry for that. Try to scroll to the bottom and pull the bar (don't know the right word) to the right, then you will see it's all there..-  Wink

I just use ordinary Turtle Wax, no special tricks...  Smiley

Yep, Autoglym Super Resin Polish and also Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection are my liquids of choice.
I have just been given some Turtle Wax Extreme Nano-Tech Polishing Wax, silly name but seems to leave a good finish not really used it much yet though.

Cheers

A friend of the family works for BMW and he gave me some of their liquid hard wax polish to try out. It has nanotechnology what ever that is.  Having said that I can report this to be rather good and much easier than the more traditional applications.

Happy days

I use autoglym srp followed by 1 or 2 coats of Finishkare 1000p. Lasts for months, i sometimes wipe it off with a microfibre cloth after it's rained, or use a detailing spay. I've heard good things about the finishkare detailing spray as well, but haven't bought it yet.
