Auxillary (electric) cooling fan

I'm pretty sure, that my auxillary (electric) fan on the radiator is toasted.
I burn the fuse to AC in slow traffic in summer, i.e. when this fan wants to start up.

Could you point out, where I find the connector to the fan for a test with external 12V supply ?
I must admit, that I have not looked for it, the task just suddenly popped up from my memory, and I do not have the car here at my desk...  Cheesy

The connector for the auxiliary cooling fan is located behind the front valance - sort of dangles from the fan motor, a 2-pin blue job.

It may be easier initially to remove the fan motor relay (on the radiator bracket, right side - the one with the BLACK base) and put 12 v + on to pin 30 of the relay base (plain Purple wire) and the negative lead to ground. That will put 12 volts directly on to the fan motor.

If the fan motor has seized, be prepared for a burning smell!  Grin

After opening the bonnet I can see, this question was pretty stupid (or at least easy to answer myself) as the relay cover tells what I will find below.
I connected 30 to 87 and got sparks, but no action from the fan. Poking it with a stick confirmed that: Seized badly. Now the relay is removed and I will add a fan to my shopping basket at XJ12-rob...  Cool
Wonder if anything else will come to mind the next days...
