Hello all, Ive got a 2005 x type fitted with original hid headlights, the offside bulb had now started intermittenly to not come on until i slap the lens. It will then work normally for a while but once the lights have been off for a day or so then I have to repeat the light "slapping"

Any ideas any one ?

Or perhaps check all the wiring and connections adjacent to the unit, as the 'slap' is obviously restoring a loose connection.

But the bad connection could be within the bulb unit itself and this would then need replacement.
