X-type turbo fault
09.04.2012 at 21:40:19

The Glow plug warning light came on in my x type, and the engine went into 'limp home' mode. I turned the engine off and started back up and everything is running fine now. The garage ran diagnostics and said it was the turbo acctuator(?) and a refurb will cost around £500! Is that about right, or is it possible to source another one cheaper than that?

Given the expensive repairs I've had on my car, I want to sell it privately now. This will be the first time I've sold a car privately. Any tips on dealing with this experience?

Thanks.
