This forum has always been quiet, I think I first joined up about 7 years ago and posted a lot in the early days, there were even less members then than now. It was a good laugh back then, very friendly and lots of banter. Not the same now and too many know alls who have to have the last word. Most of the members from the days have deserted now.

Dont think you can compare and elite foum like a Jag one with a run of the mill, car forum like an Omega one.
Never used the Omega one you are referring to and wouldnt even know the web address!
Apart from which Omega's only have half an engine

I agree that there is no comparison between this Jag forum and a "run of the mill, car forum like an Omega one" - the Omega one is so more fun, lively, busy and great technically.
As you have commented that the Jag one is so much better than the Omega one without even seeing the the Omega one, I cannot see how you can come to your conclusion
Why not have a look and see what you are missing - go to
OOF
I am not knocking this forum for the sake of it - rather to try and get its members to make it more interesting
And by the way my Omega was an

Browsed various forums when looking for info including some Omega related ones recently when looking for info on speed sensor faults.
My Omega is an 02 plate 2.6 V6 and yes its a good daily driver which has not given me too many problems

In response to the initial post, perhaps having an Omega is so bad it gives you insombnia
I miss those who no longer post here, oh for the return of George and his welder.
I sometimes look at JDC forums and they are quiet.
An automotive diagnostics forum I use does not have many members so responses tend to be infrequent but knowlegable.
The motorcycle forum I use is a lot busier than here, maybe 3 or 4 posts an hour average. The chat ranges from the quite informative and technical to the rude and stupid.
There is another automotive diagnostics forum I get a look at now and then, its very busy, very informative, theres no offeness of any sort but I can't justify the membership fee, which is aimed at full time professonal business users, who can presumably offset it against tax.
Cheers

WTF - I don't know that one - please explain.
Oddly enough it was looking for a Vauxhall Senator that led me into Jag ownership whilst searching the prestige car ads.
We had an Omega in the workshops a few years ago, beutifull car but had to be scrapped due to a mysterious electronic fault that could not be sorted, at least not economically.
Cheers
